BMW Store Sponsors, Hosts Pinewood Derby

Laurel BMW of Westmont sponsored and hosted a local cub scouts pinewood derby event at its Center to give back to the community and put a spotlight on the automotive industry. They donated a high-tech track and invited BMW race car drivers as special guests. We created a social media campaign to promote the collaboration and also pitched it to media. The story generated positive media coverage appearing in the Chicago Tribune and in the print version of Automotive News (AN), as well as, another AN supplement on dealer best practices a few months later. The program was well received and has become an annual event at the dealership.
