Based in the Chicago-area, Charlene King is the founder of That Car Clique, an automotive lifestyle platform and a visual diary of her work, life, travel and some surprises along the way.
Charlene is also an expert communications and social media strategist. She brings over 13 years experience of branding, public relations, social media marketing and digital / social content creation for clientele. Charlene launched KING Communications in 2011, an automotive, PR-driven, social media boutique studio in the Chicago-area.
Prior to building her own company, Charlene worked at BMW of North America, LLC for eight years. At BMW, she learned the ins and outs of the automotive world and luxury goods industries. Her expertise comes from launching highly-successful, innovative and groundbreaking product and media programs including BMW’s ‘Don’t Text and Drive’ National Campaign.
Charlene is PR savvy and known for thinking out-of-the-box. She is drawn to projects that push boundaries, provide thought leadership and evoke fresh ideas. Charlene revels in the creativity of crafting unique brand stories and inspired, meaningful content that attracts and engages consumers, turning them into brand ambassadors.
